Legal Service

The Council’s Legal Services Teams are led by the Assistant Director of Legal Services as part of the Finance and Customer Services Directorate reporting to the Chief Executive of the Council.

The Directorate of Children and Young People’s Service have a dedicated legal team working with them in partnership to provide legal advice and support in the care and safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people in the borough of Rotherham.

This team is led by Service Manager Neil Concannon, and is made up of Solicitors and Paralegals. The current team have worked successfully together for a number of years and are well established and respected as a strong business partner within the service.

A recent review of the team has resulted in the decision to invest in growing the team to provide the support which the service requires moving forward. This is a fabulous time to join an established team of individuals who are already performing well and provide a stable platform for expansion.

Providing a work-life balance is important for this team and the new roles which have been created reflect this. We are looking for passionate, articulate, flexible, qualified solicitors and paralegals that may be on their progression journey to join us.

This is a very exciting time and will provide the opportunity for the right people to play a key role in making a difference to the lives of children and young people in Rotherham.
